We have an opportunity for a Project Manager who will oversee the intake, development, and delivery of interactive projects; managing resources, timelines and budgets. The role acts as the main point of contact between sales, clients and the project team.  The Project Manager will provide leadership and direction to ensure that deliverables exceed client expectations.  The candidate must be comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple, concurrent projects for a variety of clients. 

 
Duties Include:

• Serve as the client’s primary point person for all assigned projects.
• Create and monitor project timelines
• Coordinate content sources – text, graphics, audio and video
• Coordinate project teams; internal and external resources
• Ensure that projects adhere to milestones and deliverables
• Track, proof and provide Quality Assurance
• Effectively manage client expectations, multiple demands and competing priorities
• Maintain Access database with work in progress, manage job related paperwork

CGI Interactive is an established B2B marketing and multimedia agency. As a web developer you will be working on a diverse set of projects for large name brand companies. As such you should be comfortable working with a wide range of technologies in a team environment on major marketing initiatives. Our team works hard and plays hard in a relaxed, yet professional environment.

On the front end, you should be familiar with standard javascript and at least one major framework (jQuery, Dojo, Mootools). Experience with open source CMS technologies a plus (think: Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla), but exclusivity or expertise with one platform at the expense of standard XHTML is not. Your day to day will involve bringing complex designs to life across a variety of platforms; and to succeed in this position knowledge of legacy browser support, familiarity with the Adobe suite, a mastery of CSS, and ability to generate a clean implementation in a deadline driven environment will be necessary.

On the back end you should be comfortable in a standard LAMP environment. Experience designing database schemas and writing APIs to facilitate data exchange is required. An ideal candidate will also have experience configuring or maintaining a Debian based LAMP stack.

Presenting technical concepts and solutions to clients and coworkers, estimating hours, and adhering to deadlines and budgets will be a daily reality in this position. As such it is absolutely vital that you are able to communicate effectively to people outside of the tech sphere.

Candidates with all of the above plus experience doing mobile development or writing object oriented AS3 move to the top of the list.

A simple evaluation project implementing a PSD as a webpage will be required for consideration. This project would typically have a turn around time of 2-4 hours.

CGI is looking for an original, conceptual thinker who loves to create engaging concepts, as well as dig in and bring them to life. The person we need is a team player and skilled in matching strategic direction with appropriate visual design for interactive presentations, online marketing tools and mobile devices. Responsible for hands on design work as well as guiding and assisting other designers in the creative process, this role is integral to developing and maintaining a collaborative environment for CGI.

• Bachelors Degree in Art/Communication with a minimum of three years professional agency experience
• Design skills: Conceptual thinking, information design, storyboarding, presentation design, online media design, web site usability, mobile app design, 3D design
• Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with attention to detail within demanding deadlines. Must be capable of balancing a project’s creative requirements within project budgets and while working on multiple projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Must be able to communicate difficult and creative concepts in a clear and concise manner; capable of writing design documentation defining the project needs and reviewing scripts
• Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables: Building and maintaining a team rapport with account managers, other designers, developers, project managers and freelancers
• Self motivated, organized and accountable: Takes ownership of tasks and drives tasks through to completion with a passion for design and commitment to the profession of visual communication
• Solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign and PowerPoint with an understanding of web programming capabilities
• Portfolio must demonstrate exceptional skills in composition, color, light, typography, motion, interface design, storytelling, presentation, craftsmanship and a variety of creative styles

Are you a graphic designer? Do you love to see your work on a big screen, the clapping of an audience filling the room? It’s a great feeling knowing your excellent storytelling skills and artistic ability gave someone the confidence to get up on that stage.  
 
We’re in the business of making our clients look good and we do this by pushing PowerPoint in ways people never imagined. If you read words on a page and see gorgeous visuals, we’d like to hear from you. We’re looking for impassioned designers who can dive into a presentation and make it come to life. We are not looking for PowerPoint operators, designers only. And if your background is print, that’s okay, we’d still like to hear from you. 
 
Qualifications:
- A design degree with a minimum of 2 years professional graphic design experience
- Strong design portfolio and demonstrating the ability to adapt to a variety of styles
- The Ability to conceptualize text and visualize information 
- Great communication skills and experience working directly with corporate clients
- PowerPoint experience is preferred but not required

Needed for freelance product demo work. These pieces use music loops and voice narration to educate an audience about solution suites and products (software/hardware) features and benefits. The demos make strong use of a running narrative and animation that moves from one element to another to "tell the story." Should have at least 2 years related experience and be very comfortable and proficient with:

ActionScript:

• Movie clip control
• Using variables
• Using XML and/or TXT files to load dynamic content into text files
• Using properties to manipulate objects (x and y position, alpha, etc)
• Using ActionScript to interact with JavaScript on the web
• Some experience with video in Flash would be a plus

Web Streaming:

• Use of the Bandwidth Profiler in Flash
• Using pre-loading techniques for web streaming
• Loading external SWF files and the issues that are presented for navigation
• Graphic and audio optimization techniques for web streaming
